101: Welcome to the Team
Stretching, Conditioning, Position Work, Team Drills, and Practice… there is more to being an athlete on a team than just wearing the jersey. Same goes for calling yourself a Christian. It is not just a title or a name, it is a way of life. One that requires an understanding of what fundamentals need mastering to become a player maker on the team.
We (people in the church, in general) often use the phrase “Christian” to identify our team. But how often do we actually go from knowing what the fundamentals are to actually experiencing the power of the fundamentals at work and in tandem with the team?
This coming February sermon series will tackle some of the fundamentals of becoming one who knows how to EXPERIENCE the Spirit of God. We need to know God (the coach) so well that we sense the moment He wants to call a play and use us for a “playmaking” moment. For those who are new to the faith, the fundamentals are what move our faith and it begins with God. Whether you are new to the faith or you’ve been doing “church” for a while; let’s get started, together, and make plans for a great season.
